Privacy Policy
How APK Ventures LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information across our website, newsletter, apps, and client work.
Effective September 30, 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how APK Ventures LLC ("APK Ventures," "we," "us"), a Louisiana limited liability company, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information. We offer online marketing, application development, and sales services. We also operate ventures under registered trade names (DBAs). Every DBA is part of APK Ventures LLC, and this Policy covers them unless a DBA posts its own.
2. What This Policy Covers
This Policy applies to:
- apkventuresllc.com (the “Site");
- our email newsletter and emails sent to [email protected]; and
- mobile and web applications published by APK Ventures LLC ("Apps"), together with any App-specific privacy addendum.
Data we handle on behalf of our business clients is treated differently, as explained in Section 2.1.
In short: we collect only what we need, we do not sell your data, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
2.1 Client Data
When a business hires APK Ventures LLC, or one of its DBAs, for services such as website design, marketing campaigns, newsletters, social media, graphic design, or app development, two kinds of data are involved.
Our client's own contact information. Names, emails, phone numbers, and billing details of the people we work with at a client are covered by this Policy. We use them to run the engagement, send invoices, and keep business records.
Our client's customer data. We may handle personal data belonging to a client's customers or audience. Examples include newsletter subscriber lists, website form submissions, ad audience lists, analytics data, and users of an app we build or maintain. For this data:
- We act as the client's service provider (processor). The client decides how the data is used, and the client's privacy policy governs it.
- We use the data only to perform the services the client hired us for, on the client's documented instructions. We never sell it, use it for our own marketing, or combine it with other clients' data.
- We protect it with the same safeguards described in Section 9. Only team members and subcontractors who need access get it, and they are bound by confidentiality.
- Subcontractors and tools we use for client work must protect the data at least as well as this Policy requires.
- When the engagement ends, we return or delete the client's customer data within 30 days, unless the client asks otherwise or the law requires us to keep it.
- We notify the client promptly if we learn of a security incident affecting its data.
- Apps we build for clients and publish under the client's developer account are governed by the client's privacy policy, not this one.
If you are a customer of one of our clients and want to access or delete your data, contact that business directly. If you contact us, we will forward your request to the client and help it respond.
The full data processing terms for each client are set out in our Master Services Agreement.
3. Information We Collect
We collect information in the ways listed below. We do not collect sensitive data such as health, biometric, precise location, or government ID data unless an App's addendum says so and asks your permission first.
| Source | What we collect | How |
|---|---|---|
| Newsletter sign-up | Email address; name if given; date, time, and page of sign-up; consent record | You submit the form |
| Newsletter engagement | Delivery, opens, and link clicks | Our email provider's standard tracking |
| Emails to us | Name, email, company, phone if included, and message contents | You email [email protected] |
| Site visits | IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, city or region, time on page | Cookies and server logs |

Cookies. The Site uses cookies needed for it to work, plus analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages are useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. [If analytics are used: a cookie banner lets you decline analytics cookies.]
4. How We Use Information
| Purpose | Legal basis (for visitors in the EU/UK) |
|---|---|
| Reply to inquiries and prepare proposals you request | Steps you asked for before a contract |
| Send the newsletter | Your consent |
| Provide App features, accounts, and support | Performing our agreement with you |
| Fix crashes, secure the Site and Apps, and prevent abuse | Legitimate interest in running safe services |
| Understand which pages and features are used, in aggregate | Consent where required, otherwise legitimate interest |
| Keep tax, accounting, and legal records | Legal obligation |
We use data only for the purpose it was collected for. We will ask again before using it for a new purpose, unless the law allows otherwise.
5. Email, Tracking, and AI
Email. We send the newsletter only to people who sign up. Each email names APK Ventures LLC, includes our mailing address, and has a working unsubscribe link, as the CAN-SPAM Act requires. Emailing [email protected] does not add you to the newsletter.
No tracking or targeted ads. We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use your data for targeted advertising. If an App ever needs tracking, it will ask your permission first through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out.
Third-party AI. If an App or Service sends your personal data to a third-party AI provider, we will say which provider in that App's addendum and ask for your explicit permission first. We do not allow AI providers to train their models on your personal data.
6. How We Share Information
We share personal information only with the parties below and only as described.
| Recipient | Why | Include but not limited to |
|---|---|---|
| Email and workspace provider | Hosting our business email | Google Workspace |
| Newsletter provider | Storing subscribers and sending the newsletter | Newsletter provider(s) |
| Website host and analytics | Running the Site and measuring visits | Website host(s), Analytics provider(s) |
| Accounting and payments | Invoicing and records for paid Services | Zoho Books, Stripe |
| App platforms | Distributing Apps and processing App purchases | Apple, Google |

| Business transfers | A sale, merger, or transfer of APK Ventures or a venture | A buyer bound by this Policy |
Equal protection commitment. Every service provider, affiliate, and DBA that receives personal data from us must protect it at least as well as this Policy requires. They must use it only to provide services to us. We require this by contract or by the provider's published data processing terms, and we stop using providers that do not meet it.
7. How Long We Keep Information
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe; your email then stays on a do-not-email list only |
| Inquiry emails | Up to 3 years after our last contact, or longer if you become a client |
| App account data | Until you delete the account; removed from active systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days |
| Crash and usage data | Up to 12 months |
| Site analytics | Up to 14 months, aggregated where possible |
| Tax and accounting records | As long as the law requires (generally 7 years) |
8. Withdraw Consent and Delete Your Data
You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.
- Newsletter: click unsubscribe in any email, or email [email protected].
- App permissions: turn off location, notifications, tracking, or other permissions in your device Settings, or inside the App.
- App accounts: delete your account inside the App (usually under Settings > Account > Delete Account), or use our account deletion page. You do not need to call or email us to delete an account.
- Everything else: email [email protected] with the subject "Delete My Data."
We confirm deletion requests within 10 days and complete them within 45 days. We may keep limited records the law requires, such as tax records, and we will tell you if we do.
9. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access limited to people who need it, and multi-factor authentication on business accounts. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law, including the Louisiana Database Security Breach Notification Law.
10. Children
The Site and newsletter are for adults. Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If an App is ever designed for children, it will follow the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's Kids Category rules, including verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child gave us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Many U.S. states, including Louisiana under the Louisiana Data Privacy Act (effective January 1, 2027), give residents privacy rights. We offer these rights to every U.S. resident, whether or not a law requires it:
- Know whether we process your data, and get a copy in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data.
- Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these today).
- Not be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request." We may ask you to verify your identity, and an authorized agent may ask for you. We respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, reply to our response to appeal, and we will decide within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.
12. Visitors Outside the United States
We are based in Louisiana and store data in the United States. If you use the Site or an App from another country, your data is transferred to the U.S. EU and UK residents also have rights to object, restrict processing, and complain to their local data protection authority.
13. Changes to this Policy
We will post any update here with a new effective date. For material changes, we will also email newsletter subscribers and App account holders, and show a notice in affected Apps. We will ask for new consent before using existing data in a materially different way.
